GoldFynch Canada hosts your data on servers located in Canada. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, meeting Canadian data residency and sovereignty requirements.
Billing is based on the case plan you select, not the amount of data currently in your case. Billing is prorated, so if your case is active for part of a month, you only pay for that period. Only the owner of a case is charged; sharing a case is free.
Example: A 10 GB case has 7 GB of data in it. It is opened on the 1st of the month and closed on the 10th. At the end of the month, it will be billed for roughly $129/3 (i.e. 1/3 of a 10 GB case's monthly rate)
A case's volume is the total size of all files in it at any given time. If you upload compressed files like ZIPs or PSTs, both the original file and its extracted contents count toward volume. Deleting files reduces volume. Productions, reports, and derived files like PDF renderings do not count.
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or close a case at any time. If your data volume exceeds the current plan, GoldFynch will automatically upgrade the case. Billing adjusts immediately and is prorated, so you only pay for the time at each plan level.
No. There are no per-user fees; share cases with unlimited collaborators at no extra cost. Standard support is included with every plan. You can reach us at support@goldfynch.com anytime.
No. There is no limit to the number of cases you can have on GoldFynch. Each case is billed independently based on its plan.
